Sport and disability: meeting at the rotary club Udine
It took place on April 16, 2018 in the splendid setting of the Hotel Italia in Udine, the evening dedicated to the precious synergy between sport and disability organized by the Rotary Club Udine Partiarcato. For the occasion, it has been involved an exceptional speaker, the maestro Riccardo De Infanti, International Technical Director for Alpine Skiing INAS and engaged for more than twenty years in the region in the teaching of skiing for the disabled. In addition to illustrating all the activities dedicated to the category, De Infanti stressed the importance that the discipline of skiing can have for the contribution of a real improvement in the quality of life of the less able. Movement, the beautiful environment of the mountains, the competition seen as a desire to improve and aggregation are in fact true elixir of health and serenity for those who have both physical and mental disabilities and have shown their real effectiveness over the years with hundreds of students. De Infanti also pointed out that Friuli Venezia Giulia is one of the most active regions in Italy in the teaching of skiing for the disabled, with over 50 specialized instructors.
